A 66-acre botanical garden located in Dallas, Texas just on the southeastern shore of White Rock Lake is the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. The Arboretum has been one of the top arboretums all over the world and has been recognized extensively all over the years. The Dallas Arboretum boasts a public array of popular annual events, great emphasis on its family-oriented activities, and amazing educational programs for both children and adults. It has been a ground-breaking horticulture research institution that has already been conducted in their Trial Gardens and continues to contribute to a very important body of knowledge, both regionally and nationally.
The Arboretum aims to consider more room for growth and development of the gardens and also the research and education efforts. The Arboretum now completed an update of the 2001 Master Plan for the development of the remaining undeveloped space. The Master Plan also provides an extension of the tram path that encompasses the whole area.

A Tasteful Place is a 3.5-acre ornamental garden, pavilion, and kitchen that was inspired by the movement towards the ever-growing and eating sustainable, fresh, and locally-grown food. Enjoy its three free daily tastings that were made with a seasonal production, cooking demos and so much more.
The Trammell Crow Visitor Education Pavilion
Opened in 2003, this garden welcomes visitors to the breathtaking surroundings of the whole Dallas Arboretum. It features a beautiful selection of whatever is seasonally in bloom.
Margaret Elizabeth Jonsson Color Garden
This garden was designed by Naud Burnett II, and this 6.5-acre Margaret Elisabeth Jonsson Color Garden features large, sweeping beds of seasonal flowers as well as plants.
A Woman’s Garden
This garden has been the guest’s favorite because of the sculpture, the vista across the infinity pool.
The Eugenia Leftwich Palmer Fern Dell
This garden features a stacked stone wall that serves as the backbone of this charming garden and is mirrored by the myriad of aesthetically pleasing rose varieties. It boasts a beautiful pergola and occasional views of White Rock Lake.
