The Perot Museum of Nature and Science is located in Dallas, Texas, and is a natural history and science museum. It consists of two campuses which primary campus is located in Victory Park and the secondary campus in Fair Park. The Victory Park campus museum was for the immortal Memoriam of Margot and Ross Perot.
The Perot Museum is an institution where it enables families to engage and learn together as well as for individuals who want to take a break from their daily routines and ponder the vast mysteries of science. Visitors can wander or maybe get lost and find their way back with discoveries and something fascinating and memorable.
The Museum reminds everyone that the universe is grander than every one of us, older than they can ever fathom and that the world is revolving around the sun. It inspires the community through engaging exhibits, presentations, and marvels.
History
Through the facility in Victory Park that opened in December 2012, the institution dates back to 1936. The Museum of Nature and Science was a remarkable result of the 2006 merger with the Dallas Museum of Natural History. In May 2008, the five adult children of Margot and Ross Perot contributed a $50 million gift. Because of this generous gift, the fundraising efforts surpassed the $100 million mark allowing them to break ground at the Victory Park site in late 2009. The Museum was named the Perot Museum of Nature and Science in honor of the Perot family.
Exhibits
The museum has five-story that houses 11 permanent exhibit halls where visitors can exercise their brains through all the hands-on activities, educational games, and interactive kiosks. This extraordinary building and outdoor space serve as a living science lesson, offers provocative illustrations of technology, engineering, and conservation.
